Many practitioners consider the Satipatthana Sutta to be among the most important and practical teachings of the Early Discourses of the Buddha. It offers pragmatic instructions for establishing mindfulness with attention to body\, feelings\, mind\, and various dhamma objects\, and frames the practice of mindfulness with the aim of awakening. This single discourse is a rich resource for meditators at all levels of experience—from beginning meditators who seek support and structure for establishing a basic practice to advanced practitioners who wish to intensify their commitment\, clarify their goal\, and refine their skills.This silent retreat is structured with alternating periods of sitting and walking meditation\, dhamma talks\, question and answer sessions\, and teacher consultations.
