On February 24, 2015, IMSB had the honor to host A Benefit Evening with Ajahn Brahm. This was Ajahn Brahm’s last West Coast teaching before returning to Australia. The event raised over $4000 for the Bhikkhunis of the Dhammadharini Sangha.
The event was so popular with the community that guests arrived before most of the IMSB volunteers. The entire hall was packed to capacity well before the event began. Sadly, many people had to be turned away. Even the book signing and sales was a complete success with all the available books sold in a very short time. Ajahn Brahm’s talk was very accessible to lay person, humorous, humble and inspirational. His kindness stood out profoundly, and was visible by his taking the time to have photos taken with some of the people who were turned away before the event began.
His talk at IMSB is posted here.  Many thanks to the St. Timothy’s staff for making this possible.
Ajahn Brahm’s Northern California talks were also video taped with his permission and will be available on YouTube. Subscribe here to be notified of when they are available
Thank you to all the volunteers of the IMSB sangha. Over a dozen of you came early and stayed late to make this wonderful opportunity run smoothly and provided a valuable contribution to the community.
