Daylong in Saratoga: Energy Balance – Meditation and Qigong
July 18, 2015 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm| By Donation.
This day-long program will include two Qigong sessions (morning and afternoon) along with sitting and walking meditation. The focus will be developing skillful and balanced energy through movement and meditation. Medical Qigong is renowned for using the breath, simple postures and movements to enhance mental focus, calm the energies of mind and body, and achieve greater health, concentration, and mental clarity. Qigong compliments mindfulness practices – both supporting clarity, calm, and balanced presence.
Instruction for mindfulness meditation and Qi Gong will be included, so this day of practice is appropriate for both beginning and experienced practitioners. Participants may substitute walking meditation for the Qi Gong sessions if they wish.
There will be a pot-luck community meal around 12:30; please bring a food dish to share.
Everyone is welcome. Chairs are provided. Bring a cushion and mat if you prefer to sit on the floor; the floor is not carpeted.
