Appreciations for all your support with this summer’s school supplies drive. The recipients of your generosity include 2 local programs that run school supplies drives:
Help One Child, a program based in Los Altos that serves local foster children.
Santa Maria Urban Ministry, a San Jose based organization that serves needy children and families.
IMSB collected donations that filled 4-5 shopping bags with assorted school supplies. These are being used to fill the 28 backpacks that an IMSB member, Farzaneh, purchased, and will be donated to Help One Child.
In addition to the pencils, scissors, glue sticks, notebooks, folders etc. we also received a number of donations via cash or checks. Combining the monetary donations that were donated this month, with previous donations to our Karuna Fund, IMSB is happy to be able to offer:
Help One Child the tangible supplies, plus a $150 donation
Santa Maria Urban Ministry, a $250 donation.
