Mindfulness of Body: A day of meditation—with Shaila Catherine.

This day-long program will explore the nature of the body through mindfulness of posture, body parts, elements, and tangible sensations. Mindfulness of the body practices were designed to enhance concentration, and develop a profound level of disenchantment that leads to liberating insight.

The program will include sitting and walking meditation, instructions, and opportunities for individual meetings with the teacher. This practice day is appropriate for new and experienced meditators, drop-in participants, and dedicated Walking the Path members.

There will be a pot-luck community meal at 12:30; please bring a food dish to share.

Chairs are provided. The floor is not carpeted. Bring a sitting cushion or mat if you wish to sit on the floor.
