Toni Bernhard authored the recently published book, How To Be Sick: A Buddhist Inspired Guide For The Chronically Ill And Their Caregivers. It is an inspiring and eye opening account of how the teachings of the Buddha can support the chronically ill person to deal skillfully with their condition, and grow in wisdom and compassion.

I just listened to a talk that Toni gave as a guest speaker Tuesday night at Insight Meditation South Bay. Well, actually she was too sick to attend in person, but she made a marvelous video, and her husband (also named Tony), presented it and answered questions.

Toni’s clarity and openness is both heartwarming and instructive. I recommend her book, and you may enjoy listening to her talk.
