Jennifer Dungan has worked at NASA Ames Research Center since 1987. She received a Ph.D. from the University of Southampton, UK on statistical approaches to predicting vegetation amount using satellite image data. Her past research interests have included issues of uncertainty and scale in scientific inference. She has authored or co-authored over 50 scientific papers on these and other topics. Since 2011, she has been a key member of the NASA Earth Exchange project, a collaboration platform for the Earth science community that provides a mechanism for scientific collaboration and knowledge sharing including on climate change. She has been practicing with IMSB since 2006.
